Today I took an audio journey around the world - soaking up the local soundtracks from the some of the world’s greatest cities. And yes, all while sitting in the comfort of my own home, sipping my coffee and eating my sarny.

CitySounds.fm let’s you explore the latest music from some of the world’s most dynamic cities. From Sydney to London, Chicago to Paris, over to LA, Barcelona, Tokyo, Moscow, Miami and many stops in between.

CitySounds.fm is an ever evolving soundtrack for each individual city - reflecting its local characteristics and lifestyle.

Swedish tag team Henrick Berggren and David Kjelkerud developed the project in just 15 hours and did it simply because they wanted a nice way to present the fact that cities around the world have their own distinct soundtrack.

Citysounds.fm taps into SoundCloud’s API to source the music and build the soundtrack - creating a live feed with the most active cities appear at the top of the list. For an added visual element, it utilises Flickr’s API for imagery.
