For their 15th release, Kaato Music go full steam ahead with label captain Björn Wilke, re-releasing his iconic 2006 track What If, with a couple of brand new, seriously cool remixes from Sebbo and Shades of Grey.

You couldn’t really release a collection of What If remixes without including the original now could you?!?! The track is simply spell-binding… hypnotic melody, heart thumping bass line and a warm, full production that just picks up the corners of the dance floor and lifts every one of those dancing feet just that little bit higher! I’m almost lost for words (again!) and, as most of you know… that’s a rare occurrence!

Sebbo’s Don’t Gamble With Marjuana Remix takes a very different direction, with a serious no-nonsense approach. Definitely going for the big room sound, with some wild sub-bass, whistles, vocals, bleeps and stabs coming from everywhere!

Freerange artist Shades of Gray steps in for the final re-work, re-assigning the melody, repackaging and bringing in some trademark vocals, giving the track a much more universal appeal, without losing any of the crazy, haunting and quite frankly creepy as shit instrumentation! This is the one that might just make me think twice about playing the original, but it’s a pretty tall order improving on that perfection!

Mr Wilke, as always, you’re spoiling us with Kaato’s greatness. This is no exception!
