Bamboo Souljah… Pacific Island Brilliance

Here is a seriously cool cat that we wanted to introduce you all to. Bamboo Souljah, also known under his production name Rian Basilio is a Hawaii native living in Los Angeles, who writes, produces and releases some of the most inspirational, Pacific Island sounds we have ever heard. His roots, influences and inspirations are amazingly multi-dimensional… one minute locked deeply in a Reggae dub, and the next enveloped in a California style beach vibe, all with incredible results. He’s the vocalist, string man, and will even jump behind the drums when he need the beat just right!

Bamboo Souljah has just released the first single from his debut album (due out at the end of the year) entitled Trumpets of War, which you can check out in the player here…

He’ll be playing a number of locations around Southern California in the run up to the album release, so keep your eyes peeled for this superb, new artist.
