Another extended mix this week… so big we’ve had to split it in 2! Both parts run to about 2 hours 45 mins, so you’ve got some serious tunage to ease you through the week! I’m actually on a plane back from NYC as I write this - a HUGE thank you to Cory Ness and Kyle Douglas for a fantastic time! Hanging in Brooklyn and catching a Giants game… perfect! I love that city, and a shot of the cold has really given me the energy and vigor to see out 2009 with a real bang, while really looking forward to an incredible 2010. I’ll be heading back to the UK during the year, where I’ll play a few of the old haunts and catch up with all the nearest and dearest. Also, it’s about time to start thinking about WMC in Miami, and maybe a bit of Coachella, and SXSW… oh boy, I need to start saving!
This week the big feature tracks in the mix were coming from the Chicago / NYC imprint Liberate Recordings, from their second sampler release of the year… deep, warm, vocal house brilliance throughout! There’s also one of the mixes from LA’s superb HAWT Records‘ second release; Dancin’ by Easy Street. Plus… the final track of the show really got people buzzing - the sublimely deep, mid tempo masterpiece Call Me Tonight from Ilija Rudman, out on Red Music, January 18th next year.
I hope you’re feeling the mix, and will be back next week for the warm up to Christmas show. Only 3 more shows of the year, and they are all going to be very special looks back over what’s been rocking the show in 2009.
See you at midday PST next Friday on My House Your House!
Enjoy!
