Both Stacy Kidd & Mike Dixon are legends of the Chicago House scene with huge discographies stretching back to the mid 90’s and early 00’s respectively.
Back To The Future Records launched last year with a hot track from Miles Maeda and some great remixes that caught a lot of attention in Miami.
Artist: Stacy Kidd & Mike Dixon
Release Title: Jazzy Dayz 4 EP
Label: Back To The Future Records
1. Jazzy Dayz 4 (Funky Shit Mix)
2. Jazzy Dayz 4 (Downtown Mix)
3. Jazzy Dayz 4 (Overseas Mix)
Official release date: April 26th, 2010
All three mixes of Jazzy Dayz are the pumping, jackin tracks we’ve come to expect from Kidd and Dixon. Their Funky Shit mix brings the full peak time action and the jazzy loops are twisted and chopped around a solid jackin beat and ‘This is House Music’ style monologue. The Downtown mix gets a bit deeper and groovier, with slightly smoother guitar licks and simple filter effects. Finally, the Overseas mix keeps the funky riffs, strips back the beat slightly, and mixes them up with a German language spoken word sample.
