TGFA (The Guy from Archway) is a British singer-songwriter born and raised in the lively dynamic London City. Exposed to all the exciting eclectic music which in turn was pumped into his blood from a young age, his influences come from rock, soul, funnnk, country and western and urrm…some others.

5000 Records were established in Hamburg, but soon moved their base to London and bagen working with a wealth of artists from all kinds of backgrounds.

This is one of the freshest EPs I’ve heard for a while, with the Original being piano funk-fulled party fun - a great combination of music for the mind and for the feet. I defy anyone to not want to get up and shake something. ‘One Night’ gets a re-work from Rudimental, and he aims straight for the dancefloor again, delivering a funky and smooth jam, with familiar vocals, funky piano riffs and fluent drums. The Bingle mix strips away at ‘I Feel Love’ and goes deeper than deep. Solid chunky beats and fantastic chugging echoing chords are the base of the track, with the vocal used sparingly and effected precisely. Monosolar goes for a funky twist, with added rhythmic guitar and lead synth. He fattens up the bass, slickly filters the vocals and adds a great summer-vibe to the percussion, making this suitable for many a pool-party. Finally, Riccicomoto takes things dark and tribally; sharp hats and glitchy samples ping around whilst a new bass clangs and techy haunting chord stabs punctuate throughout the track. Minimal use of the ‘party vocals’ give this a more late-night edge, focusing on the ad libs and main vocal hook.
