MVP is a collaboration between Peter Christianson from LawnChair Generals and Luke McKeehan from Nordic Trax. Between them, they have been responsible for a consistent stream of quality underground house music for many years.
LCG Music, the label, was formed in 2005 in order to provide an outlet for previously unreleased music and remixes by LawnChair Generals. MVP’s ‘Music’ will be the label’s first output not under the LawnChair Generals name.

Official release date: August 17th, 2010
Music is a tight, bumpy track. Christianson and McKeehan deliver techy-edged, brass-tinged synth stabs and short sharp percussion, giving the original mix pace and energy. The build rises with a crisp snare-roll and drops into a classic ‘old skool’ sounding bass riff, accompanied by stuttered vocal sounds. Definitely one that will work on dancefloors. On hand for a remix is Doza, aka Carlos Mendoza, Peter’s partner in crime in his usual LawnChair Generals production outfit. He leans towards a deep tribal remix, adding further percussive elements and echoing spoken word samples. The glitchy computer build at the halfway mark suddenly drops into the stabs of the original and accompanying melodic pads. A very dubby affair, that will certainly appeal to fans of Freerange and the like. The Bonus Beats are a useful stripped back version of the original.
