Artist: Steve SoulBasics & Martijn
Release Title: Lose It EP
Label: Baker Street Recordings

1) Lose It (Jay Tripwire Remix)
2) Lose It (Steve’s Lost It Mix)
3) Lose It (Martijn Mix)

Official release date: August 2nd, 2010

Lose it first comes in the form of a Jay Tripwire Remix, and Jay delivers a glitchy tech house monster. A tough growling bassline is balanced out with smooth snares and spacey synths, before a strong lead pad comes in and raises the energy even further. Next up, the original producers both have a new spin on Lose It: Steve’s Lost It Mix is super deep, and chugs along with tribal percussion and rolling bass notes. Plucking string effects and solid layers of drums really drive this track, and it’s pure controlled production sounds crisp and punchy. Finally, Martijn takes things in a funky, jazzy direction. Loose drum loops and shuffling hi hats accompany a spliced and screwed vocal and piercing chord stabs. Those chords open up in the break before the solid drums and powerful sub bass come slamming back in.
