For todays show I seemed to have included a whole load of remixes, which sometimes has been against my creed as I don’t always embrace the slew of remixes that come with new releases, so I think we have highlighted some good ones!

We open the show with classic galactic disco from Orkestra Galactica’s Andromeda Variations a beautiful piece of groovy disco beats, rich orchestration and wonderful arrangements. Tony Coleman the brainchild behind this project considered by many a genius. Check out London Elektricity his current drum & bass project on his own label Hospital.

New releases remixed this week include, 45 by East L.A. favorites Ozomateli, also local “buzz” band Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros , Tracy Thorn, as well as Nas & Damien Marley remixed, really dig the De La Soul vibe on this!

Also we played Shinning from U.K. vocalist Linda Lewis, with her five octave vocal range is captivating to hear especially for those who are not familiar with her work as a solo artist or lending vocals to the like of David Bowie, Cat Stevens, Cockney Rebel, Rod Stewart & Jamiroquai. Australian soul artist Daniel Merriweather teams up with M.I.A. to deliver awareness to the plight of the Tamil peoples in Srilanka on this version of Change
