TAA Flight 102210

New equipment and new tunes made for a bumping show this week… and it was really going off in the studio and the shoutbox! First off I have to say… what was I thinking?!? For the last few years I’ve been (stubbornly) using a PC laptop, turning a blind eye each time Traktor froze or squealed when there wasn’t enough RAM, harddrive space or power to handle what I was trying to do. Well recently I cracked and turned to Apple, and now I’m in heaven! The show now goes live courtesy of a MacBook Pro, and wow… does it make a difference!?! This little baby works like a dream, and I think my sets really benefitted. No waiting 2 minutes for a track to load, no squeaks and squeals as I add an effect or 2. Thank you to everyone who politely but firmly told me I was an idiot for sticking with a PC. My craft is forever indebted to you all!

So to the show… a bit techie, at times tribal, a dash of broken beats and some warm, lush deep house just top it off - we went all over the house spectrum, and it sounded pretty good! All standout tracks, but I was especially feeling the new Derek Dunbar release on Joshua Heath’s Golden State Recordings, the Truffles EP by Peckos on Lost My Dog, Cole Madina’s remixes of the iconic Innocent by Q Burns and the down-right amazing, wall shaking, roof lifting Indaba EP by Nik Frattaroli. Amazing, amazing, amazing!

It’s been a crazy few weeks, so my apologies for not posting some recent shows. I will endeavor to get those up soon, so keep checking back if I’ve missed off one of your recent favorites. My dear Mum has been in town, so I put my music duties to one side for a few weeks, and I also have to blame my newest fan (and this boy is a serious house-head already!)… Little Lucas is growing fast and loving the show every week. I’ll get the webcam up and running so I can introduce him to you all soon.
