Official release date: November 30th, 2010
The original mix of Pantytime has a deep bubbling French feel to it. Filtered disco-inspired guitar loops and horn sections establish the main groove, but a more modern glitchy, clunky percussive layer adds something fresh, with off-hand dry snare hits and sharp hi hats piercing and jolting at seemingly random times. The French filtered funk is subtle, and deep synths ring out complimenting riffs so further smooth the overall feel of the track. The Eric Sharp mixes are basically the same, although the Rave Mix has an incredibly annoying Tim Westwood style air-horn blasting inappropriately over the top. Head straight for the Club Dub which does more than enough with tight percussion and further filtering of the original guitar and horn parts. Well chopped samples and a bouncing bassline make this remix very dancefloor-friendly, and a solid alternative to the original.
Standout Track: Original mix.
