Fresh and ready for 2011!

Fresh and ready for 2011!

Ladies and Gentlemen, please forgive the quietness over the holiday period. We closed the offices for a little winter hiatus in both Sydney and LA while Ian was made an honest man by his beautiful new bride Leanne, and Charlie looked after his wonderful new studio engineer. Topping those important events off were a vast collection of events, gigs and parties that meant our little family found it hard to get behind a monitor to let you all know about the newest and greatest things going on in our little music worlds.

But now we’re back and have an absolute bevy of great music to tell you about. Christmas was pretty special, but the releases, parties and events that are slated for early 2011 are just unbelievable! Lee Jarvis is making some considerable waves in house music’s hometown of Chicago, and will have plenty to tell us about throughout the year. We have new additions to our contributor family, with Al Bradley from 3AM Records plus a couple of other surprises later in the year. And CheckPoint has a few big things in the pipeline, most notably a brand new night in LA with Streetnoise! host Stephen Zelenka. He also bounced back into the office with a laptop crammed full of juicy albums and EPs that he wants to share with you all. Highlights include Harold Heath on Lost My Dog, Tommy Largo on Alphabet Music, Asad Rizvi remixes on newly relocated Sowat Music, a whole collection of monster tunes on 3AM Records, an outrageously good sampler (Holtel Voyager 1) from So Sound Recordings and some brilliance from Ray Soo and friends on Love International, all the way from Malaysia. He’ll post all of the reviews very soon along with the backlog of Trans-Atlantic Airwaves posts plus some big, BIG news about the show as soon as the ink is dry on the paperwork!

So please re-activate that RSS feed and make us one of your daily pleasures once again. You’ll love what we’ve got for you!

Happy 2011!!!

My Cuppa T
